Guest guest
Not *technically* a vegetarian question, but y'all tend to have answers for this sort of thing... I'm looking for something to wash my 18-month-old daughter with. She seems to have inherited my tendancy towards extremely dry skin in cold weather, so I need something super gentle and preferrably moisturizing. I don't mind getting something online or from the organic market, or making my own - I was looking at the stuff in the conventional store and it was all stuff I didn't want to put on *my* skin, much less hers. If anyone's got any baby moisturizer tips, that'd probably be helpful too. Thanks! -kt p.s. We've already switched to one lukewarm bath every two days, and I've been putting more flaxseed oil in her food, both of which help but don't seem to be enough. Guest guest
I know this sounds like a sales pitch since I am an independent consultant for Daisy Blue Naturals, but I sell it because I believe in using naturals products on our bodies.... Check out www.daisybluenaturals.com we have a baby products section. The products are all natural and moisturizing...I started using them, love them, so I started selling them! Jena Thompson, who is the founder of the company is a chemist that, when she had her first child, didn't want to use the baby products off the store shelves knowing what was actually in them, so she started making her own. The baby wash is enriched with calendula herb to heal and soothe. The baby oil is a natural oil using avocado, calendula and jojoba. It contains no mineral oil or other synthetics. There is also lotion and soap. You can email me privatly if you want anymore info! Guest guest
We have been having great success with California Baby's products, including their hair and bodywash followed by calming skin cream...they smell great and help our super-dry skinned little girl a whole lot! Good luck! ~Melissa

It is extremely gentle. Until our CSA organic farm started producing organic goat's milk soap, that's what I used on my face as well. (Side note: a lot of women buy expensive " gentle " cleansers, toners & mosturizers for their faces when just using a baby wash instead is all you need. Even the readily-available Johnson's babywash product is gentler than the pricey adult products.) Healthy Times has a whole line of children's products worth trying, including a shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. I highly recommend them (no, I'm not connected with the company in any way). And, FWIW, I found California Baby products to be extremely drying for my children's skin, so they probably wouldn't be right for your daughter either. Guest guest
I've used Aubrey Organics Baby Wash for both my children from birth on with success. It is purer than California Baby and the other natural baby products! - " Catharin Meadors " <bokodasu " VRG " Tuesday, October 19, 2004 9:08 AM Baby wash? > > > Not *technically* a vegetarian question, but y'all tend to have > answers for this sort of thing... > > I'm looking for something to wash my 18-month-old daughter with.
