Guest guest
My youngest son will be turning one this week and he's starting to eat a lot more solids and therefore breastfeeding less. Thus, I'm thinking that it's about time to put him on a vegan multivitamin. The problem is that it's so hard to find a liquid one that's 100% vegan. Even the " vegetarian " ones have vitamin D3 in them. I did find one by Floradix called Kinder Love. The packaging states that the vitamin D comes from " yeast extract. " I've only ever seen it called D2 or D3, ergocalciferol or cholecalciferol. Is vitamin D from yeast extract vegan or not? Or have any of you found any other liquid vitamins that are vegan? I'm kind of at a loss here, and would appreciate your recommedations. Thanks, Shayla Roberts

Yes, the Floradix is vegan. I'll look around for a liquid that's vegan, but I can't think of another offhand. However, most people suggest starting a vitamin at 2. And, where we live it's cold and cloudy during the winter and I was worried about the little one not getting enough vitamin D. That being said, I was worried about giving him something with iron in it because it can interfere with the absorbtion of iron from bm. Hm. Maybe I should just give him some floradix or something a couple of times a week. I dunno.
Guest guest
Hi, I believe Floradix has honey in it, making it not a vegan product. But please correct me if I'm wrong.
