While watching energized teachers after an exercise break during one of our events, the light bulb went on. We need fruit and vegetable music! What a great tool this would be to help our students " Find the Fun in Being Healthy " (our motto!). Being the creative, can-do group that we are, we decided to tackle this task and put out a call for " fruit and vegetable songs. " We had no idea this simple idea would stir up so much excitement. In one month's time, 235 songs showed up at our office. Most of them were written especially for this CD by artists who thanked us for using the power of music to help heal the obesity issues we face today. Tracks came from Canada, England and almost every single state in the U.S. It was incredible. The selection process was difficult. There was so much to choose from! But in the end, we let the kids and teachers decide - 293 students, teachers and staff cast their votes to choose these 17 songs. It's a collection that showcases various styles of music, fabulous talent and fun messages. So, " Find the Fun " and " Shake It Up! " along with us!
