Guest guest
What are the symptoms of a child ingesting inappropriate amounts of nitrate? I juice organic carrots, beets, and celery every day for my 4 and 1 year old.

Guest guest
Yes, nitrates have been associated with cancer. They are usually in processed meats, like bacon, lunch meat. and hot dogs. Be very afraid, Lynda
Guest guest
I don't remember the early symptoms off hand. I know that in its extreme it will lead to vomiting, diahrea, and eventually death and that the skin will have a bluish tinge to it. Do a google on " blue baby syndrome " and you will find lots of info. I think that the worst culprit to nitrate poisoning is people who drink well water that is contaminated. , " admartin " <admartin@e...> wrote: > > What are the symptoms of a child ingesting inappropriate amounts of nitrate? > > I juice organic carrots, beets, and celery every day for my 4 and 1 year > old.
