Guest guest
Are you asking about a specific candle? If not, many are made of beeswax. Lately, there has been a movement to soy candles. They are available on line and in many health food stores and gifts stores. Peace, Laura in Maryland
Guest guest
Some candles have tallow which is rendered animal fat. Some have that and/or petroleum products. Then there are beeswax candles. Guest guest
Most candles are made of paraffin wax, a petroleum product. There are trendy beeswax candles made of beehive honeycomb wax which would fall into the unvegan category, for the same reason honey would. In the old days and sometimes at historic villages candles can be found made of animal fat or tallow. .... Be kind. Be of good cheer. Guest guest
It depends on the candle. Many are made from petroleum products. Some are made from bees' wax; some, from animals' fats. Still some are made from vegetable oils like soy, palm, etc. In addition to the type of oil, there are additives like vybar, stearic powder, and more that may be in it. It's best to inquire with the specific manufacturer of the candle if you really want to know what's in it. Oh, and then there are the gel candles, which have a whole different slew of possibilities! Pangea (veganstore.com) has some vegan candles. --Allison , " asiancurrypot " <asiancurrypot> wrote: > > > If someone knows what is candle made of...... please share. Guest guest
.... then there are soy candles acceptable to those who don't want to use candles made from animal products. They burn pretty well and last quite a while. God's Peace, Gayle
Guest guest
Hi Many candles are made of paraffin/petroleum. I sell a Soy/Veg candle which is made from a mixture of Soy and Vegetable waxes so it burns clean and cool but still has a great smell. You can check out my website for more info on Soy/Veg candles or to buy. Guest guest
Thanks for sharing information about candle. I love candles, and someone told me they are made of animal product, so it mean it could be animal product, or it could be bewax. After finishing the old stock, I will make sure what I am buying. Thanks, to all of you. Dick Ford <dickford wrote: Most candles are made of paraffin wax, a petroleum product.
