Guest guest
Debbie, As a mom to a nine yr. old, it warms my heart that other children are showing the caring and compassion that we strive to model for them. My son has shared stories with our cats on many occasions. Also, teaching others is a great way of solidifying info. in the brain. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful moment with us! Guest guest
Hey all I just have a cute little thing to share with you all. It is not veggy related, except that it shows compasion for animals and the regarding of them as valuable and inteligent. Right now, as I speak my Nadia ( 8yrs old) is sitting in front of her bunny sister Katie's home with her multiplication table paper in hand and she is explaining multiplication to Katie. She has explained to her how it is both the same and different from addition. She has explained how that is and has given examples. Then she was showing her her papers ( that she has recently done at school) and explained to her which are correct and which are not. Then she was reading the problems and answers to her. She is is just so content and happy to share this knowledge with Katie and I have small tears in my eyes for how adorable this is to hear and to watch. I hope that you get just a bit of the joy that I feel knowing that this is somthing she really believes is valuable time spent, " teaching " the bunny what she is learning! ( complete with the occasional " Do you understand that? " " well if you do then..... " ) Peace to all and have a great day! Guest guest
I love that. My 8yo speaks to her cat as if she was a person. Her last cat, who just passed, she called her son. It was very cute. Abitof Mystique <a_bit_of_mystique wrote:Hey all I just have a cute little thing to share with you all. Guest guest
How precious! You must video tape this moment, or at least photograph it and write it in a journal. Thanks for sharing this with us! Nikki , Abitof Mystique <a_bit_of_mystique> wrote: > > Hey all I just have a cute little thing to share with you all. Guest guest
What a special memory that was created for your family last night. Those are the seeds that when planted in childhood grow gentle, purposeful and caring adults. We had a nice time trick or treating last night. We met many new canine friends. It was like meeting neighbors we never met before. My girls greeted each with love and enthusiasm and learned the names of each. Seeing them respond to them as they would respond to a person was very gratifying to me. And wouldn't you know, almost all the candy we collected was vegan, HA!
