Guest guest
You are so right. Every child I have ever seen does not like meat when it is first given to them. It seems that they have to be forced to get used to it. As for the denial in adults, I was once at an animal farm with my friend and or children. There was the sweetest calf there. I said to her, " look at the cute veal " , of course, trying to point out to her where veal comes from. Her answer is one that I get from a lot of people who want to keep eating what they are eating without having to think about it, " don't tell me, I don't want to know " . If you pretend that what you are eating is just something you get in the market wrapped neatly in plastic and not a living breathing feeling creature you can still keep eating it. The minute you realize that that calf is a baby with a mother it becomes much harder to eat for most people. I have tried to get several of my friends to watch peaceable kingdom with me and they won't do it for anything. But as adults we very well know what is on our plates and we often go in denial. FareChase - Search multiple travel sites in one click. Guest guest
You are 100 percent right. People are in denial about eating dead flesh . And they force feed it to their children . Lynda Carter
Guest guest
Neither of my children would eat me liked meat before we became vegan. It was a constant source of chagrin for my non-veggie husband (he has since gotten used to the idea). If you think about it, meat sinply does not taste good until you season the heck out of it and/or deep fry it. - carol sobczak Saturday, November 05, 2005 10:46 AM Re: Re: Denial-response to Shanthi You are so right. Guest guest
Toddlers also tend to refuse meat because it's so much more difficult for them to chew. I didn't stop eating meat until my oldest was 3. Before that, I used to fret about the fact that he hardly ever touched meat. It's funny how your thinking changes.
