Guest guest
Gizmo has my prayers. If you can get some rescue remedy liquid and put it in his water, that would be helpful. If he'll let you hold him; you can put some on your fingers and rub into his ears. Hope you can get him to a vet asap. Peace, Laura _joychild72_ (joychild72) writes: Please pray for little Giz, that he will be alright. Guest guest
Tonight a horrible thing happened to a member of our family. Gizmo, a teddy bear hamster, was playing in his ball and fell down the basement stairs, REAL HARD. He was laying on his back in the ball motionless for a long time. I stayed with him, he showed signs of consciousness. I think he has a central nervous system injury and a broken limb. He will be fine and alert, but stumbling, then he will stop everything and engage in repeative movement where his head slopes back, eyes closed, and rolls it slowly forward then backward. When he does this I wanted to see if he was responsive to sound, he had a very very slight startle reflex, but nothing more. When he is alert, he is moving in an agitated way. Please pray for little Giz, that he will be alright. He is such a perfect little soul. ~Shelly
Guest guest
Hi Shelly, I'm praying for Gizmo. However, I really believe he needs to see a vet, especially if he has a broken leg or other problems you described. Guest guest
I'm praying for Gizmo. I'm praying that he gets to a vet, too. It sounds like he is suffering - animals don't usually cry and carry on when they are in great pain. They just endure. Giz needs medical help. , " Shelly " <joychild72> wrote: > > Tonight a horrible thing happened to a member of our family. Guest guest
Thank you Bonnie. I am thankful that the vet will be able to look at him. I wish that it had not taken this long to get into that specific vet and to find the money. I hate that about the world, money talks. What a pity. ~Shelly Bonnie Barker <bebarker96 wrote: We're sending prayers up for you, Shelly. Keep us updated. Bonnie
Guest guest
Sorry for the little guy, but he'll probably do OK, with or without the vet bill. Remember that the smaller the critter is, the softer he'll bounce. A few ounces don't hit nearly so hard as a hundred pounds or so; don't assume the kind of injuries you'd receive bouncing off the steps are the same kind he'd get. A cat can fall a few stories; a mouse could fall from an airplane and not get hurt. If you stepped on him, that'd be a different story. ~DJ Correo Espacio para todos tus mensajes, antivirus y antispam ¡gratis!
