Guest guest
Pat: I found a couple for you. In the SDA cookbooks I have, they use the McKay's Chicken-Style Seasoning a LOT, but seem to prefer the G. Washington Broth to the McKay's Beef-Style Seasoning. Obviously, you can always sub the beef-style for the chicken-style or use the McKay's instead of the G. Washington. Maybe we need to do a " head to head " taste test. Anyway, these 2 recipes are from Debby Shabo Wade's cookbooks: Garbanzo Curry Worthington Vegetable Steak Stroganoff * Exported from MasterCook * Garbanzo Curry Recipe By :Adventist International Cookbook, Debby Shabo Wade Serving Size : 12 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 tablespoons canola oil 1 1/2 tablespoons chopped fresh ginger 3 cloves garlic 1 large onion -- chopped 1 tablespoon curry powder 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon turmeric 1 4 oz jar chopped pimientos 1/2 medium green bell pepper -- chopped 3 stalks celery -- diced 1/2 teaspoon chicken-like broth or seasoning mix 1 tablespoon beef-like broth or seasoning mix 1/2 cup tomato paste 2 15 oz cans garbanzo beans -- drained, reserve liquid 2 tablespoons cornstarch In a large skillet over medium-high heat, saute ginger, garlic, and onion in oil for 3 minutes.
