Strain the mushrooms, pat them dry, slice them, and transfer to a pan. Add the oil and heat the mixture until it is warm to the touch. Pour the oil and mushrooms into a glass or plastic container. Let the oil stand uncovered for 2 hours, then cover it and chill it for at least 24 hours. It keeps for up to one month, refrigerated. Try the oil drizzled on pasta or pizza, or add it to cooked grains, or seared greens. The aroma is intoxicating.
