Guest guest Posted April 4, 2001 Report Share Posted April 4, 2001 * Exported from MasterCook * Eggless Matzoh Balls (Kneidlich) Recipe By : Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Passover Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 4 medium russet potatoes 1 cup matzoh meal -- (to 1 1/4 cup) salt pepper to taste water or vegetarian broth Peel, cut up and boil potatoes until soft. Drain and mash; season to taste. Add matzoh meal gradually and knead until firm and smooth. Fill a large pot 3/4 full of water. Heat to a boil. Form smooth balls of the mixture and drop into the boiling water (or broth). Cook for about 20 minutes, covered. Do not overcook. serve in your favorite soup or broth.
