Guest guest
Something to consider: I went fat fee/very low fat a few years ago, and subsequently was diagnosed with osteopenia (the beginnings of osteoporosis). I learned that not only does a low body fat index (BFI) contribute to bone loss, but a low fat diet does too. (didn't have a clue) In my case, I was also training extensively; there exists a "diminishing effect" where some exercise prevents bone loss, but too much can actually contribute to it. Anyways, if you are on a low fat/fat free diet, be SURE to include lots of calcium options in your diet (if you are vegan, there are excellent sources of non-dairy calcium). Additionally, I think it's a good idea for all vegetarians, regardless of the degree and regardless of their gender, to take (among others) calcium-magnesium supplements (be sure to check and see if they are made from animal or vegetable sources depending upon what kind of vegetarian you are) ~Laura ********************* If it's meant to be, It will be. Does anyone have any info or suggestions on this?? Terri

Guest guest
Okay, just checked my jar of multivitamin and minerals. They're Flora brand MultiTabs 'suitable for vegetarians' - they have calcium, the B group, E, and all the usual suspects. They're not a capsule but a large oval tablet big enough to choke a horse. Veggie gel capsules for anything I agree are hard to find - but we have a sympathetic homeopathic person down the street from us - he is pesco-vegetarian (or pescatarian, if you prefer) and his daughter vegan, so he usually steers us in the right direction. best, pat -- SANTBROWN townhounds/ http://www.angelfire.com/art/pendragon/ ---------- * " Until he extends the circle of compassion to all living things, man will not himself find peace. Guest guest
, " Megan Milligan " <yasminduran@l...> wrote: > i think www.veganessentials.com has a vegan e vitamin. > > megan Here's another vitimin question. Has anyone seen the " complete " vitimin for vegetarians. It claims to have everything a veggie needs in one place. I don't recall the brand name but have seen them at health food stores (such as whole foods). Any one know anything on these??
