Guest guest
I have become a vegan for health and my conscious...I have been to a dietician to get a clue and she only knew basics...I use mostly soy products but haven't gotten use to not having butter...Since I don't use butter anymore..Everything i used to have with butter I have quit eating...Any suggestions on what would make it taste good without a drastic move? I use some garlic and olive oil on a lot of things but some just taste weird with them...I would love to hear suggestions from all and any of the group...Thanks...Janice

Guest guest
Yeah, well olive oil and garlic might kinda taste wierd on raisin-nut bread or a muffin LOL Have you tried Earth Balance spread - it's a kind of margarine, totally vegan - and it's excellent. A friend on this list put me on to it and I'm delighted with it. There are others, of course, but I like this one ;=) Go easy, though, it's good enough that it'd be easy to overdo it and, on a slimming regime, it'd be fatal LOL best, pat -- SANTBROWN townhounds/ http://www.angelfire.com/art/pendragon/ ---------- * " Until he extends the circle of compassion to all living things, man will not himself find peace. Guest guest
I use a soy margerine called Pure. It comes in either soy, sunflower or organic but all are non dairy/vegan. Not sure if its available outside the UK though. Also, i haven't tried this myself but a friend suggested something called butterfat which is actually not butter, but an oil which is flavoured like butter. She thinks its vegan, but then she isn't one so i'd have to check. And i'm not sure if its available outside the uk again... some help i am! Sorry!
