Guest guest
Good Morning, I was wondering if anyone juiced? I make my own juices in the spring and summer when the fruits and veggies are fresh. Living in Northern Canada the fruits and veggies are not always very fresh.....sometimes gross!!!! I can't wait for the summer vegetable and fruit markets to open. I drive 4 1/2 hours to the city and spend a few days. I love fresh berries and freeze bags for my cereal and smoothie for the winter.I will pass along some juice recipes that I make......very good :-) Take Care, Happy Veggie Eating, Bridget :-)If you truly love Nature, you will find beauty everywhere. - Vincent Van GoghPost your free ad now! Guest guest
Hi - Yes, I juice for my family when I can afford it. When we first got our juicer we were juice crazed but juicing every day can get expensive (for 4 people). So, now I juice as much as we can. My kids love it (that and smoothies)! Our favorite is carrot juice with a little celery, parsley, apple and sometimes beets (if the fresh ones are on sale). If you can get the beets with it, it's worth it. Great combo! :-) , Earthy Lady <earthylady_39> wrote: > > Good Morning, > I was wondering if anyone juiced? I make my own juices in the spring and summer when the fruits and veggies are fresh. Guest guest
I juice but not as often as i should! I love strawberries and mangos, peaches etc in summer but this time of year i forget to do it because winter fruit doesn't have the same appeal for me. Your juicing recipes look interesting though. I may go juice up some stuff right now! I'm thinking celery, carrot and cucumber? Will that work? What could i use to sweeten the flavour? Don't think i've got much fruit in, but i do have some ginger. Does anyone know what is good to hide the taste of veggies? Laura PS. Thanks for asking about my back. I'm much better now thanks. Back at work and having much less stiffness. Still have some pain but it'll go eventually, and its bearable. >Earthy Lady <earthylady_39 >Good Morning, >I was wondering if anyone juiced? _______________ Hotmail messages direct to your mobile phone http://www.msn.co.uk/mobile
Guest guest
Hi Bridget, No I don't juice now - but I used to make my own fresh juice each day some years ago and then I just stopped for some reason and right now I don't even have the equipment ;=( However, it is something I have been thinking of starting again, so I'd be very grateful for any recipes and/or tips. Where in northern Canada are you? We're south - London, Ontario. Guest guest
Laura - I find by adding an apple to my juice it gives a natural sweetness without adding anything else (such as sugars or honey). As for hiding the " veggie " taste, I'd do more fruit juice to veggie ratio. The only draw back to fruit juice is that it is naturally sweet which spikes your insulin because of the simple carbs (someone correct me if I got that wrong)and if in to large a quantity it'll act just the same as if you ate a candybar (not good for the cause). I just experimented until we found the juices I/we like - just keep trying different combos 'till you find what you like. Good luck. :-) , " Laura Moore " <child_of_the_80s@h...> wrote: > I juice but not as often as i should!
