Guest guest
Hello all, hoping you can help me out a bit. I am making a nice veggie soup for dinner tonight, and was give 2 packages of chanterelles. I have never used them before, so am curious if I can use these in the soup, and how do I prepare them? Thanks in advance, I greatly appreciate it ~Tara
Guest guest
Here's what I could find in a cookbook. "The Chanterelle is generally cooked and has a captivating, delicate flavor. It's yellow or black and trumpet-shaped.When fresh it smells like an apricot and has a delicate taste." Sorry, no recipes. But if they're generally cooked I can't see why you couldn't add some to your soup. Hilary On Mon, 26 Jul 2004 17:52:32 -0000 "Tara" <spitfirerats writes: Hello all, hoping you can help me out a bit.
