Guest guest
One Egg- Optional One Table Spoon of Sugar One Half Teaspoon of Salt A Dash of Pepper Two table spoons of milk Two table spoons of minced onions One half cup self rising flour One cup cooked squash - - - How to cook squash for the patties. Skin, Dice, Boil until it turns to moosh. - - - Combine all ingredients, and drop by tablespoon into frying pan. Cook until golden brown on either side. - - - This is what I made for lunch today, it was...interesting. To be perfectly honest, I didn't really like it and decided to use the rest of the mixture to make squash bread instead. =-) Still some of you may like it. RFLMAO Hon, if you didn't like it I'm not going to try it! I think that's a fair judgement by you. What was it you didn't like, btw? Texture or taste or both? Could the recipe be reworked for better success - or won't you ever try it again? I've tried some like that - usually they don't even get recycled as human food. Fortunately, our dogs are less discriminating in their taste (beagles - always but always hungry) and provided there are no onions or chillies they get to test-drive the failures! *lol* Best love, Pat ;=)
Guest guest
Well, I've come to find out that I have quite different taste. My Mother loved the squash patties, as did my little brother. For some reason it just didn't sit very well with my stomach. I'm not sure what it was I didn't like. My mom likes to tease me, says I'm just running out of new things to try. She may be right...I seem to make the same few things over and over for my meals now. Ack, I'm hoping that I'll find some recipies in here to change that though. =-) Oh, and I said I was going to take the rest of the mixture to make squash loaf or something. Since I didn't add the onions to the first go round, it made pretty good Squash muffins. At least, I managed to eat two of them. Which is a lot better than how the patties held up. lol
