It says that there's a market out there for tortured iron-deprived artificially fattened baby cows in cute little jars for cute little kids. With vegetarians at around five per cent of the population (not counting economic vegetarians) in the so-called western world, we can expect that no one is listening to us unless the message specifically threatens their health - eg BSE scares, cholesterol scares, etc. I must say, though, that it is a truly gross concept for baby food. Of course, for most of us it's a gross concept for any food! Best, Pat
Guest guest
Hi Pat I am a vegetarian for health reasons, not that I am in bad health, but I believe in preventing those problems. It is really hard to believe what those poor calves are put through in order to produce what they sell as veal. How about people that rationalize and say that these animals were meant to be slaughtered and eaten. Pat, you and your partners are doing a great job. Another great reason for being a vegetarian ;=) There are lots of great reasons, of course - and here we don't much mind as long as we all respect each other. >It is really hard to believe what those poor calves are put through in order to produce what they sell as veal. Believe it. >How about people that rationalize and say that these animals were meant to be slaughtered and eaten. Well, I don't bother arguing with people who say anything was 'meant to be'. No point. >Pat, you and your partners are doing a great job. Thankeee thankeee thankeee <bowing and scraping>. We try. Take a bow Nancy, take a bow Piers - there's a nice man throwing roses at us ;=) Best, Pat ;=)
