I got it, never got around to write it down and now I can't find it in the files. And I can't cope on having to look through 2000+ messages for it... I might have gotten the recipe from the feral vegetarian group, but I am not sure. Could somebody maybe resend it to me? Are you sure it was posted to this list? i will take a look thru our recipe files to see if i can find it. We are quite faithful to put the shared recipes into the files section so it should be there if it was posted to the list. Guest guest Posted September 8, 2004 Report Share Posted September 8, 2004 I don't know if this helps at all, but, back awhile I asked for tempeh recipes and Marie Riewers in the Netherlands kindly posted me a whole bunch of them starting with message #1576 AND among those was a recipe for Fried Caramel Tempeh. I don't see it - or the other tempeh recipes she posted - in the Files, but I haven't searched very well. I think that you could use tofu instead of tempeh if you used *firm* tofu and (just perhaps) marinated it in a little dark soy first. Whatever you decide, this recipe IS 'tried and true' :=) although, as I say, only using tempeh. I suggest it because it differs somewhat from the one PT so kindly find on the net for tofu. Recipe 1576 - dated 31 December 2002. I have hardcopy of this, but it is not on my current computer ;=) - sorry. But just key in the number of the message 1576 on the Messages page to find it.
