Guest guest
I'm having a little trouble with my first attempt to slow down the meat intake. Since I'm not a 'veggie' person, I'm trying to look for foods in the realm of grains and fruit to replace meat rather than simply acruing more vegtables. What are some suggestions? I already know I won't be able to give up milk and dairy, thats not really a question with me. But I'd like to minimize and eventually totally remove meat from my diet. I just find myself having nightmares about animals being processed up into cans of tuna. ^.^;; I don't even EAT seafood. ;__; If there's one good way to help keep me on a no-meat road, its that I volunteer at a cat shelter, and after smelling cat food everywhere, and getting on you during feeding and what not, you don't even want to LOOK at another can of processed food. >o< Gag! Anyway, any day to day recipes that are low on veggie and high on fruit and grains, that would be good. (and maybe a bit about what my daily intake of fruit/veggie/grains should be. That would be helpful. ) Lee
Guest guest
What about " Boca " or " garden burger " veggie burgers ( use your favorite veggie toppings, onion, tomato, lettuce etc.) with maybe some french fries or whatever side vegetables. Also maybe even chili or spaghetti with ground veggie burger ( comes in one pound plastic wrap packages.) add maybe asparagus, onion, mushroom or whatever to the spaghetti.
