Guest guest
Hi Mark, I have been keeping your email in my inbox until I had time to sit for a few mins and read and absord the info there. I am totally ignorant about a lot of the health issues and what herbs are good for what, and so on, so I have a couple of questions for you! LOL!! What is it about eggs and cheese that you should avoid, other than being animal by products, and is it just during an infection? I have a newly bought book called Herbal Defense by Robyn Landis. I read in there about Licorice Root and was thinking of getting some. I'm glad I read your email first, because I have high BP. Since I have lost 100 lbs, I am on half the dose I was on before; but would like to get off meds altogether. Do you have any suggestions? I have clinical depression, so St. John's Wort won't help there, I don't think. I also take Naprosyn (anti inflamatory) and Ultram (pain med) for arthritis. I used to think it was just a thing that came with age! (I'm an oldie - 56 yrs) but something tells me it doesn't have to be that way. I hope I haven't asked too much of you here! Thanks Hugs CT (Carole - but I usually go by CT) > > > > , " Morgan " > <baby.gabrielle@v...> wrote: > > I was wondering if you all could tell me the best vegan > foods > (besides like..oranges for vitamin C) > > you know of for boosting your immune system. Guest guest
Hello Cee Tee, I am happy about your weight loss. First let me give you some advice on the arthritiis. Naprosyn is not good for the body. IT blocks the bodies production of prostaglandins, but there are hebs and foods that do the same things without the side effects, diarrhea, stomach ulcers, and bleeding. Secondly you need to eat more of the following foods, you are lacking in GLA and linoleic acid. Flaxseeds and/or flaxseed oil. Flaxseeds are loaded with linoleic acid and linoleic aciid alters how the body breaks down prostaglandins.. Other oils that you need to take are black currant seed oil, nut oils, safflower oil borage seed oil, or evening primerose oil. Evening primerose oil is very expensive, but will without a doubt help. There are so many reasons to avoid milk. Milk accelerates the production of mucous in the body, provides a haven for bacteria etc etc etc. Cheese is hgih in animal fat and is not easily digested by the body. I could spend pages telling you why milk and milk products are bad for you. There is a wonderful site called notmilk.com which can give you alot of help in that regard. 98% of all eggs laid by chickens in the United States are from Chicken which are living in " Battery Cages " . They are called battery cages because they are about the size of a car battery. Even the eggs that are labeled Free Range, are not necessarily so. companies are allowed to label their eggs free range eventhough they live in battery cages. Eggs are produced in filthy diseased conditions by dilthy diseased chickens. In addition to that chickens are fed amy antibiotics in their feed because they are kept in cages and lack sunshine. Thses antibiotics come through in the eggs. One in eight eggs contains a antibacterial agent called lasilocid. There is a whole list of acceptable contaminants and levels that the FDA allows in eggs and meat. They simply are not healthy for you. There are herbs and foods that can help with the clinical depression. I would wager that you do not get enough GLA in your diet!! I have a site called becomingyounger where I deal with these issues. You are welcome to join if you like. WITH LOVE MARK CeeTee <caroletodd3 wrote: Hi Mark, I have been keeping your email in my inbox until I had time to sit for a few mins and read and absord the info there. Guest guest
There are some quite good tasting soy cheeses. I also have a recipe for raw cashew cheese on my website. I should post it here, and will do that. I do not know where you live, but Trader Joes markets has their brand of soy cheeses( I do not know who actually makes it) and are quite good. My children have cheese sandwiches with them. I eat about a tablespoon of ground flax seed daily. There really is not limit on how much to eat. I would say that a tablespoon daily is good, and will give you good results. MARK CeeTee <caroletodd3 wrote: Hi Mark, Thanks for answering so quickly!
