Guest guest
Hi, I'm living in a very small space at the moment and my homeschooled kids are 8, 6 & (almost) 2. Does anyone have some suggestions for fun things I can do to get some exercise. Running is not really an option and neither is the gym for a number of reasons. I am traveling between Oregon and California. I have the outdoors as an option in CA and a little more indoor space as an option in Oregon. Guest guest
yoga!! My almost 5 yr. old does this at school & LOVES it! My 8yr old would love to take a yoga class, too. Woops...just reread. YOU...is there a YMCA nearby? Yoga is still a good idea. If not classes, then a tape which is also very portable. I also like pilates. Can you get to classes? Dance, Tae Kwon Do, swimming.... I hope I sparked an idea for you. Beth keta wrote: Hi, I'm living in a very small space at the moment and my homeschooled kids are 8, 6 & (almost) 2. Guest guest
Hi, I love yoga, but don't have the space in CA (we are staying in a motor home). I will be trying to do some when I'm in OR. I checked the Y, but they are too expensive for us right now. I was surprised at their fees. Classes are a problem because of the living in two places. I am expecting to be back in OR permanently as of Apr or May at which time I can revisit that idea, or maybe join a gym. I used to belong to a gym and worked out regularly (and felt great), but haven't been able to do that in about 3 years. Keta Quoting Beth Renzetti <elmothree2000: > > yoga!! Guest guest
Go back to the Y and ask for a scholarship. They don't advertise it but they are available. Guest guest
Yes but there may be a small fee for visiting another club. Guest guest
>>fun things I can do to get some exercise. Do you have access to a basketball? Get a whiffle ball & bat & go play w/your kids. Walking is always good. Beth
Guest guest
you can go to any Y nationwide with a membership, right? Not in Staten Island. I can't speak for anywhere else. Beth Search presents - Jib Jab's 'Second Term'
Guest guest
I know here in the Tampa Bay area, you cannot go to any YMCA anywhere. It has to be within a certain distance from the one you joined.
