Guest guest
www.flylady.net <http://www.flylady.net/> be forewarned she does sell items on her website and always sends out testimonials members write in about her products. I am getting tired of reading about those darned feather dusters. Haven't run across that promotion yet, but trust me - I won't be tempted. *Real* feather dusters??? She's outta luck selling those to the people on this list, I'd think LOL Even the name is a bit offputting! Best, Pat ;=)
Guest guest
I have seen them and have an ostrich feather duster myself and find mine is just as nice. Ok so hers are prettier and purple. Some women I know who have one keep it on display in a large flower vase. Whatever floats your boat as I say. I like a regular damp cloth for dusting thanks very much. Guest guest
Er, uh... do ya think that it was uncomfortable for the ostrich to give up that feather? Karen
Guest guest
LOL. I didn't even think of those poor naked birds. I guess I am too new to the vegetarian thing. What do you all do about shoes? I am sure for some of you leather is out of the question. I live in Maine where leather makes up a lot of LL. Bean boots. Guest guest
The feather duster was left in a house we bought a number of years ago. Before vegetarianism even became a thought to me. Sorry I still have a lot to learn. Maybe the duster can have a nice burial come spring. Guest guest
Hi Kirsten, Hope that you don't think that we're picking on you As for your feather duster and leather shoes, purses, etc., here's what I do... as I am not in a financial position to discard things that I already own that are animal by-products, I use them until worn out, then replace with non-animal products. Congrats on having an open mind and a sense of humor Best, Karen
Guest guest
re No I have no problem with the comments. If we can't laugh and move on then what is the use. I am enjoying the topics actually. Kirsten > Hi Kirsten, > Hope that you don't think that we're picking on you >
Guest guest
Kirsten, I buy non-leather shoes mostly from Payless Shoes and sometime and to a lesser and lesser degree as time goes on, Wal-Mart. There are places on the web that sell non-leather snow boots. Vegan Essentials comes immediately to mind, but I'm pretty sure there are others also. Living in central Florida, this really isn't a priority for me. LOL Most people I know who are financially challenged (which are most of the people I know! LOL) and who go the veg*n way, use up what they have and when needing to replace things, replace them with veg*n options.
