Guest guest
Getting the stuff: I don't know how many members, off hand, are in Canada or especially in Ontario, but I am able to buy Marmite at my local Valumart. Best, Pat

Marmite is of English origin (made originally in Burton-upon-Trent using the brewer's yeast from the local Bass brewery) and having gone through various hands (including BAT!) the company is now part of Unilever Bestfoods so should be available pretty well everywhere. I know it's in every supermarket I've been to in UK, and also in Holland but usually only in small sizes so I tend to import the larger jars. The Marmite site has been renewed and is worth a visit - see http://www.marmite.com - it begins with the challenging question " Do you love or hate Marmite? " and whichever route you take brings you to forums, surveys, recipes etc.etc. Piers (a Marmite lover since age about 5)
Guest guest
> Marmite is of English origin . . . Indeed LOL And there are those who say if you start out on Marmite (as I did too) there's no way you can like Vegemite. But when we were living in Australia (some 25 yrs, as I keep saying) I tried Vegemite a few times, hated it, tried it again and loved it. Can't find Vegemite here, so it's back to Marmite and wouldn't you know: I love it too! They say about 5g is enough for one's B12 intake for the day - easy for any Marmite or Vegemite lover! > The Marmite site has been renewed and is worth a visit . . . Hey that's really fun! Thanks!!! Guest guest
-Well I live in the states and I haven't either one anywhere here. I can find all kinds of weird asian and hispanic food items, but haven't found any place that sells english stuff. Oh well I guess I can buy it online somewhere. Thanks everyone.
