Guest guest Posted January 23, 2001 Report Share Posted January 23, 2001 Stir-fried basmati rice and asparagus source: quick and easy rice dishes Whether you use brown basmati or white, cook this dish in a cast iron skillet for best results. In summer, place the skillet on a grate ove an outdoor wood fire and taste the delicious difference. 4 TB light sesame oil 1 small onion, cut in half then sliced thin 1 tsp. sea salt 1/2 pound asparagus, cut into 1 inch pieces (or borccoli florets broken into 1 inch pieces, stems peeled and sliced thin on the doagonal) 1 TB. brown rice vinegar 1 1/2 cups cooked basmati rice Heat oil in a skillet, add the onion and salt and saute for 5 min. until the onions are just soft.
