Guest guest
Lauren, I have a tortilla recipe for *flour* tortillas. I wonder if a gf flour mix or quinoa flour could be substituted. Are you interested in it? It might take some " work " to get it just right. There are some recipes for " bread type " foods in our archives that don't use xanthan gum or guar gum. . . Guest guest
Sure! I'll try anything ;-) Thanks - I didn't think about checking the archives. I'll do that now! Kyle LOVED the Amaranth tortillas (2 1/4 C amaranth flour, 1/2 tsp salt, 3/4 C water) the best. - Good Friend Thursday, January 10, 2002 2:55 PM Tortillas and Bread Recipe Ideas Lauren, I have a tortilla recipe for *flour* tortillas. Guest guest
were these tortillas hard like the corn ones or soft like the wheat ones? I have not been able to make some of my favorite recipes because they call for wheat tortillas..and they have to be soft so they can be bent. I would love to find a substitute and start making some of my old recipes again. Amy Scheer Family wrote: > Sure! I'll try anything ;-) > > Thanks - I didn't think about checking the archives. Guest guest
Amy, thanks for the flatbread recipe! These were soft like wheat tortillas, but stiffer. However, when I heated them in the microwave, they actually folded without breaking apart and were soft like wheat tortillas. - Amy Lovelace Thursday, January 10, 2002 4:16 PM Re: Tortillas and Bread Recipe Ideas were these tortillas hard like the corn ones or soft like the wheat ones?
