Guest guest
Hi Tracy, Do you happen to remember which company you ordered the buckwheat flakes from? I'd like to try these! Thanks, Christine
Guest guest
Christine, It seems to me it was called Nancy's Natural Foods. They are located in Oregon (Salem I think). Do you have Bette Hageman's bread book? I know they are listed in the back. If you don't I will look up the information for you. Glutino (http://www.glutino.com) sells buckwheat flakes. They are a little too thin and expensive. I want to buy a flaker this year, I plan on trying to flake other grains as well as buckwheat. Guest guest
Joanne, I have never heard of a flaker before. Where did you see these? How would you use it? Do you use the grains cooked or whole uncooked? This sounds really great. Tracy > Glutino (http://www.glutino.com) sells buckwheat flakes. They are a > little too thin and expensive. Do you use the grains cooked or whole uncooked? I saw one at a local health food store. I searched online and found several. I bought one and returned it because it needed to be adjustable to work on buckwheat. I would suggest doing a search for grain flaker on a search engine. The family grain mill was the one I returned.
