INVITATION: First and foremost, thank you for your support and interest in the Bay Area Veg Fair. The much-anticipated all-day veg food festival will take place on Saturday, February 1, 2003. Once again this exciting event will be held in the heart of Silicon Valley at the Santa Clara Convention Center. We look forward to seeing you there! As we did last year, the Veg Fair planning committee will be organizing a series of dinners which will assist us in keeping the event FREE to the public. We will kick off Bay Area Veg Fair 2003 with a spectacular supper at Kokila's Kitchen in Cupertino this Saturday, November 23. Last year's dinner at Kokila's was a huge success and sold out. We expect seats to once again disappear, as space is limited, so please reserve today. All proceeds from the dinners go towards Bay Area Veg Fair 2003. The all-you-can-eat Vegan menu includes: Samosas with mint and tamarind chutneys Papadum Fresh Roti Layered Paratha (a wonderful grilled bread) Dahl (a light lentil soup) Channa Masala (chickpeas in a masala sauce) Aloo Gobi (cauliflower, potatoes, peas and tomatoes) Sauteed Okra Gujarati Green Beans Dokla (steamed lentil cakes, Kokila's specialty) Biriyani Rice (a rice blended with spices and vegetables) Basmati Rice (plain) Plus ... Soy Chai Tea (a rare experience in Indian restaurants) Besin Barfi (made without dairy, especially for us!) The dinner is just $18 and includes tax, tip, good fun and this incredible menu. Please join us for this very special evening! WHERE: Kokila's Restaurant in Cupertino (20956 Homestead Road, located in the plaza at the southeast corner of Homestead and N. Stelling Rds.) WHEN: Saturday, November 23 TIME: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. PRICE: $18 Payment can be made via check or money order and all reservations must be paid in advance (no money will be collected at the dinner).
