Guest guest
Hi Cindy, Try these remedies: 1. Crush ginger and mix it with honey and lemon juice to make a nice paste( use a mortar and pestle). Eat a small spoonful each hour or so and chase it slowly, after 30 minutes, with a glass of water stored at room temperature. The paste is quite stable. 2. Chew Brewer's yeast tablets. 3. I chew green beans and peas ( pods and the shell covering ) until all the juice ( chlorophyll, B/C vitamins, sugars, proteins and some fiber too) is extracted. Himanshoo V.B. Guest guest
Hello Cindy, So you're allergy's are kicking up too. Mine really flared up Monday and have finally settled down a bit. Other than resting and staying away from the outside world (i.e, hiking, working on my car, etc.) I've been taking: 1. Respir-ALL by NOW Foods 2. Allergy RELIEF Liquid (Natural Homeopathic Medicine) by NATRA-BIO 3. Nettles/Eyebright by WHOLE FOODS There're all Vegan and seem to be doing the job. I bought the first two at Whole Foods Market in Cupertino and the last one at Whole Foods Market in Los Gatos. Good luck and let me know if they help OR if you find something else that seems to do the trick. Guest guest
I like Decongest Herbal by Zand. You should be able to find it at any health food store. I also drink teas designed to clear up congestion; you should find a variety of them at your health food store. However, I've noticed that all of them contain peppermint, so peppermint tea by itself wouldn't be a bad choice. Most importantly, if you aren't vegan, drop the dairy products during the hay fever season. That includes even the least little bits. Dairy products (there's a scientific explanation, but I can't remember it at the moment) increase congestion. I used to have *much* worse hayfever, not to mention a major allergy to cats, in my earlier years when I consumed lots of dairy products. Soy and rice products are great for those dairy cravings, and Trader Joe's sells very reasonable dairy-free chocolate. Found a site which explains it: " It is advised that refined sugar and the protein in dairy products, are mucus-producing substances that are best avoided during hay fever season. " http://www.internetpharmacyservices.com/healthcontentpharm/ailmentsanddiseases /hay_fever.htm Thanks for the tip! Cedric. aka.
