Guest guest
Hi, I recently got ants coming into my house and invading my cats food. Besides the cat food, I have also seen them wandering the house looking for new food sources. Does anyone know of a humane way to remove the ants from my house? I don't necessarily want to kill them, I just want them to not enter the house anymore. Thanks, Vania
Guest guest
For several years I have used dense deposits of pepper.... along the routes the ants have used and along alternative paths they could use. The prevents them from laying down chemical trails. In fact, for the last 3 years, I have seen few ants at all. Black pepper works as well as red and is cheaper..... > Hi, > > I recently got ants coming into my house and invading > my cats food. Guest guest
I found out by accident that liquid dishwashing detergent appears to have the same effect, and have used this to contain the ants that invaded my apartment. Pepper is probably cheaper and better for the environment, but doesn't stick to walls, and my ants were coming in a window and crawling on the wall. I was using a citrus scented detergent (Sun Bright) but I don't know if this matters. Haven't seen them at all this year. Guest guest
Hi, I have found that cinnamon works very well. They absolutely will not cross it. (I use plain old ground organic cinnamon from Whole Foods) Best wishes, Michael --- " J.
