Looking for a few humane organic eggs per month

Hi, we're vegan, but my husband would feel more comfortable if our

daughter ate a few eggs a month, and I was wondering if any of you have

an egg-laying chicken in your backyard or know of someone who does.

 

I went to Whole Foods, and the fewest eggs I could buy at a time was 6,

and I don't know if it is okay to keep them in the refrigerator for

three months. Also, even though the eggs were organic, they didn't say

anything about being humane (not that I would necessarily believe that

anyway).
