As for the Pasand restaurant, I have preferred not to patronize it ever

since I learned about the things described in the following webpages:

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/2000/0

1/20/MN23411.DTL ( " Berkeley Landlord Arrested in Sex Scheme; Police say

he brought girls from India " )

http://www.indolink.com/NRINews/Community/pasand2.html ( " Pasand owner

Reddy released on $10M bail " )

Besides, why patronize a restaurant that serves meat when there are

numerous restaurants nearby that don't?

Re: [southBayVeggies] veggie restaurants in Santa Clara

The obvious choice is Pasand restaurant right at Lawrence and El

Camino...

It's in a shopping center right near the Starbucks. It's pretty good

food and they give drink refills.

P.S. There was a dinky restaurant across the street from Pasand next

door to the indian bazaar market. But I'm not sure if it is still there

-- and Pasand has been around for years -- good service you'll be sure

to get.

Udupi Palace comes to mind.

If you go a little farther

into Sunnyvale, then there

is also Saravanaa Bhavan.

[southBayVeggies] veggie restaurants in Santa Clara

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a lunch restaurant near

Lawrence and El Camino in Santa Clara, vegetarian? Indian would be

good.

Thanks
