Guest guest
If you have friends who love animals but aren't yet vegetarian Have non-veg family & friends who need more information about veg*nism Feel tongue-tied as to what to tell your non-veg family & friends about veg*nism Then round 'em all up and bring 'em to World Farm Animals Day! This event, sponsored by Bay Area Vegetarians, Animal Place, and the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA, is an excellent event for non-vegetarians. We will have cooking demos, speakers, food sampling, and more. " Admission is free " Yes, there is no monetary cost to attend - but if you are a veg*n, please consider your ticket to free entry is bringing a non-veg friend. This event is designed to educate and raise awareness in our community about the plight of farmed animals, so please help us by bringing the non-veg people in your life to this event. And, importantly, by posting and distributing flyers where animal-friendly and conscientious and compassionate people will see them. It was established to raise awareness of the billions of animals suffering and slaughtered in the world's factory farms. The occasion is observed with events in all 50 states and two dozen other countries. Every second, 269 chickens are killed in the U.S. for food. That's 23 million chickens every day, or 9 billion every year. Chickens and other animals raised for food aren't just food choices or statistics like " 10 billion land animals are killed for food every year in the United States " .
