Guest guest
Hello, I am trying a really cool new recipe and I need the following items. Please let me know if you know where to find them. The ingredients are: * Coconut oil * Irish moss * Lecithin All the other stuff I can probably find in Whole Foods. Also, do you know of any whole foods like store close to downtown San Jose? Thanks. Guest guest
Hello, Ok, I got 10^34657 people responding me about Coconut oil and Lecithin (did you know there are that many South Bay Veggies out there?). But, I still need the Irish Moss. I found it on-line in several places, but I cannot wait for it to be delivered. Also, Gratitude is too far (unless they open one in south bay soon... ). So, ... I need about 1/2 ounce of it. Anybody? Andy On Wed, May 6, 2009 at 5:16 PM, Andy <vegan wrote: > Hello, > > I am trying a really cool new recipe and I need the following items. Guest guest
I was at the Berkeley Frugal Foodies we made a raw Key Lime Pie filling receipe from Cafe Gratitude's new book. 5 out of 16 people thought it was the best recipe out of 4 other recipes we made that day. That recipe didn't need Irish Moss (thank G*d cause it's expensive) even though you need to use only a bit. To me, you can use another thickener. I think there's so much hype on all these YUPPIE expensive supplements and products... It's a good book that gives you all their secret recipes. After you made the desserts, you'll realize how much and money it costs to make the desserts...so drive up to Cafe Gratitude or your local raw foods vendor for your next raw dessert I like Dr. Michael Klapper, I learned from him, you get the highest anti-oxident per dollar, is from Red Cabbage. ---- Irish Moss Rainbow in SF sells it. you can easily get an image of it from Google. == this is from the SF Living Foods list: You can read more about it on Elaina Love's website. She sells it with info and recipe packet if you wish. http://www.purejoyplanet.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=108 & osCsid=abf3e\ \ c9ef9b002437ca976ae139a5af7 try www.purejoyplanet.com , Steven Cogorno <steve_c2 wrote: > > > On May 6, 2009, at 6:38 PM, Andy wrote: > > > Hi, > > > > Are Irish Moss and Agar equivalent? > > > > Andy > > > No, not equivalent, but you can substitute agar.
