Yeah I can't see it being accepted here for a very long time -- if ever. But it's for the show in S. Africa! There are sections of S. Africa where 1 in 3 people are infected! Children are being born with HIV and orphaned left and right -- what right does the GOP have to criticize something like that? How paranoid is that to be like, "they can't have it there 'coz then they might try to do it here and we don't want it here..."

When will we learn to let other countries do what they think is best for them (obviously, so long as they are not hurting anyone.) I guess never. I know, I'm preaching to the choir... But, UUUUUUUUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh!!!!

Just for a bit of fun. Y'know - visit the old haunts and so on.

And just remember - if it wasn't for that little jaunt that big 'ole house

where Prince George lives would still go by the highly imaginative name of

" The President's House " ...

BTW, did you know that any American citizen has the legal right to claim any

uninhabited American island as their own, provided that it has bird

droppings on it? (And I haven't just made that up!!!)

I read that article earlier this week. Seems that they're adding the character to the series because South Africa prettymuch has an HIV epidemic. I think it's targeted so that the children there will learn that they can treat kids with HIV normally, kind of like the films they show in elementary schools here where they tell you that you can't catch it from holding hands, etc. Sounds like a reasonable idea to me.

Yeah, I know about the songs -- I sent a link of some video of it a ways

back. It was quite something else. I promise not to call TIPS. Besides

which, I'm sure they'd love to put me away, too. Although, maybe I can work

out some kind of immunity deal with them... ;)

To be fair, the RSA has a much higher HIV infection rate than the USA.

Not really. One of the nasty foreign restrictions that (then) England

imposed on the colonies was sticking to treaties with the native

Americans. Even now, though far from perfect, Canada treats its first

nations much better than the USA.

British sailors died trying to stop the trans-atlantic slave trade.

I could go on.
