Thank you for your kind

thought Geraldine! ^_^)/

I'm pretty well recovered!

But first ... I'd like to publicly

apologize to the Anti-PETA

club for reposting my

wasp story on their club page.

Anti-PETA/

and for calling them nasty,

vile-puffy, meatatarian

servants of the evil one.

I made fun of them. I'm

sorry.

I hate hurting people.

I shouldn't be mean just

because they're capturing

babies.

And making them cry.

And then stopping their

pulse and breath. And eating

them.

After all, they're just

following the Food Chain.

And who knows? They might

have a good reason.

Maybe their dog is telling

them to eat babies over

their car radio.

But some day those who

love God's voice will stand,

and all gravy spoons will be

dashed against the rocks.

Angels in heaven will dance

at the clang.

All turkey knives will drop on

the turkey carver's knee.

The last Thanksgiving will

be renamed Band-aid Day.

Grandmother will kneel in

several drops of turkey blood

and will apologize to the young

one she has killed.

And then the trumpet will

sound and all cheese patties

will slip out of the bun and

back onto the cow.

I believe this.

I really do.

It's the only thing that

makes sense.

I read in a science book, The

Physics of Immortality, that

in a trillion years or so, life

will control the entire universe.

And we will then be able to

recreate everthing that lived

in the past or possibly lived and

make them be happy this time.

It makes sense.

I'd work for that.

I'll work for happiness, and

lots of others will to, forever

and ever and ever.

I'm sure of it.

I'm happy today too!!

I love your messages Bruno, you have a real gift! I wasn't sure if your story about the wasp stings was true or specifically written as an entertaining piece, glad you are OK though. We have a lot of mosquitoes here and are getting bitten quite a bit, nowhere near as bad as a wasp sting though, just itchy and red.

Why does your name mean "of leather trousers/shorts" (or something similar), now that is not a very vegan-sounding name is it?!

You should consider changing it to "von loricahosen" or something like that, I think!

My husband read a science fiction book once, Riverworld, by Philip Jose Farmer, where some aliens created a world and brought back to life all who had lived before to give them a chance at being immortal, like the idea from that science book you read.

I noticed I had made a possible mistake the other day, bought a Robinson's Apple and Blackcurrant concentrate and after we drunk it nearly all (it was for the kids mostly), my husband noticed it had vitamin D added which is most likely not vegan, so beware of Robinson's drinks, I'd never noticed they added vitamin D before as I don't usually get their drinks. Won't do it again, I assumed all soft drinks of this type were vegan unless they had E120 in them or were an orange drink containing beta-carotene which is sometimes processed using gelatine. Just this one time I didn't read the label clearly.

Lesley and all,

Being still somewhat new to this, please tell me about " added Vitamin

D " . I am assuming when added it derives from an animal source from

your post, but don't know anything about it.

Thx fer the heads up!

nikki :)

Most added vitamin D is derived from lanolin, I believe.

Some specifically vegan products do contain vegan vitamin D and are labelled as such.

There is D2 and D3, here is the Vegan Society page on vitamin D, it explains which is which, but most companies adding vit D do not state on the label if it is D2 or D3, and mostly it is in fact the animal derived D3, eg in many of Kelloggs and other breakfast cereals in the UK. A lot of products say that they are vegetarian and yet contain D3, which is of course inaccurate labelling since it could come from wool obtained as a slaughter by product, so is not even truly vegetarian as well as not being vegan

What - you prefer gardening to flirting with me - I'm flabberghasted!

I don't think I've ever met a mean tofu, but if I did, I'd probably try to

make it stir fry - it seems the only sensible course of action!!! But then

they do say " you can take a mean tofu to water, but you can't make it stir

fry " .
