Guest guest
Thanks for the warning, Dave - totally gross I agree. And it would have made me soooooooooo angry that your outburst would have sounded like love talk by comparison with mine! Siggghhhhh, so I guess it's back to reading labels on *everything* - even those things we 'know' are safe because we checked them, say, last week! Guest guest
Ach! That is terrible. Who would ever think they would do that. Are those the doritos that are supposed to have a guacamole flavor in them? Thanks so much for that warning, Dave. Don't worry, your use of language doesn't bother me in the slightest, but some of the other ladies here might not appreciate it, so that is why I had to set up that rule. I think even they will forgive you this little slip due to your justifiable outrage over another deceitful product. ~ PT ~ Words, when written, crystallize history; their very structure gives permanence to the unchangeable past. ~ Francis Bacon, essayist, philosopher, and statesman (1561-1626) ~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~~~~~~~> , " Dave " <phantombluefan> wrote: > OMG tonight I tried the new dorritos chilli verde chips cause I like > things nice and spicy and yes they were so after eating a few I felt > like checking the ingredients to see if they were without any cheese > which would be good and to my horror PUT CHICKEN FLAVOR > IN THEM you would > never think they would put dead animal products in tortilla chips > that is so unreal I couldn't even believe it.WHY?? > PT please dont get too mad at me for swearing in my post but that was > really too much and I had to tell it like it is. stay cool, Dave pbf
Guest guest
GREAT. I've polished off a bag a few weeks ago. I also just finished a bag of the " salsa " flavored which is really good. I just opened a batch of the " ranchero " flavored last night (which tastes like fruity pebbles) and have a full bag of " guac " flavored waiting (yup chip junkie to match my raw veggies junkie habit...yes counterpruductive I know). Hmmm, may have to go back to strict ingredients reading again....usually do just for the fun of it, lol. " thats even more evil than McDs cause you would > never think they would put dead animal products in tortilla chips > that is so unreal I couldn't even believe it.WHY?? " Oh, never underestimate the food industry if you are a food ingredient reader or vegetarian. I was once an ingredient reading pescetarian (yeah yeah) for a few years and I was checking out a specific Ramen soup (several brands) for anything other than the big shrimp advertisement and picture as its flavor....well as it came out after reading, there was no shrimp, the flavoring was chicken fat or broth EXACTLY like the chicken " flavored one " . Both ingredient listings were pert near the same and I'm saying this out of caution because if I remember correctly, it was EXACTLYYYYYY the same just different packaging! If I get time later in the evening, I'll do an ingredient report on the other flavors and shoot it back to the group! Thanks Dave of the warning bigtime for the group! I wonder if they will start putting it in " PLAIN " potato chips just like the fries!! There is also a kind of " loaded baked potato " chip or tortilla chips that have beef or chicken flavor too. This is definitely wrong. It must be a conspiracy! Guest guest
that sucks about the chips. shame on frito lay. a similar thing happened to me. i bought a bag of plain potato chips, not even thinking i had to read the label. i ate a few of the chips and they tasted nasty. i checked the label and the chips had been fried in lard. there's nothing worse than dead pig fat. yuck. are you gonna write to frito lay? susie --- Dave <phantombluefan wrote: > OMG tonight I tried the new dorritos chilli verde > chips.....
