I just learned through some friends of mine in my duran duran circle that Thompson of Chic died a few hours ago (hasn't hit newswires yet). :( Renal

cell (kidney) cancer, & saturday would've been his 49th birthday.

what is it with completely talented musicians like robert palmer and tony

thompson dying at such young ages ?

Hard living, I'd say. They burn out like a light bulb.

I start getting nervous myself!

All praise " Power Station " !! For some reason, I thought I had either

heard of his passing or that he was diagnosed with fatal cancer a few

years ago.

Diet for some surely doesn't help. It's a constant catered diet of how

much, what and when you want it. And, along with that, check out what some

musicians require in their dressing rooms. Thay can get anything they want

yet choose cheap junk foods, such as snacks and candies (no blue m & m's

please). Stock up on the MSF....that stuff can get pricey, lol.

There are several out there though, that require gym equipment and decent

foods and drinks to keep their bodies well maintained for the stage (and

image of course). Of course a good diet won't help heavy drinking or drug

use for those that indulge on tour and off.

I wonder what kind of impact all of the lighting, laser and pyro effects can

take on a body (actors and musicians).
