Guest guest
I went to WholeFoods a few days ago and it was yet another success. I got a couple of portabello spring rolls and a portabello happy bowl thingy (basically same ingredients as the rolls but decorated nicely over greens without the wrappers). Good stuff....the shrooms were " grilled " and marinated in oil (or was that my drool, lol) and balsamic vinegar (didn't taste vinegary to me...good). Over a bed of greens and verm noodles, were grated carrots, cucumber slices, peanuts, red bell pepper and yellow bean sprouts. The thick sauce (hoisen mixture..no nuts IN it) was excellent....of course I added soy sauce! Oh, i forgot in the middle was some cilantro...very few unfortunately. This was really really good!! I got some bulk, cajun spiced soy beans........Yep, that'll be a staple snack. Also picked up this incredible Chai tea latte mix.....yep ding, we have a winner. Have a good one yall, S. _______________ MSN Messenger with backgrounds, emoticons and more. http://www.msnmessenger-download.com/tracking/cdp_customize

" YES....we shared quite a moment, lol. It was even better than homemade....course most things seem to be when someone else is fixin it. " can you send me some?? i wonder if w.f. has those recipes online. i'll have to look. " As Cornell would know, most of it is prep work, however I did look at the package (ingredient llist) for the shrooms which stated the " grilled " (aint the real smoky grill taste) and the oil and balsamic. I also can't believe how fresh it stayed these past few days...bowl " expired " yesterday but not even a hint of wilt or brown....excellent. " what was the brand of the chai latte mix? " Tea and coffee purists cover your ears. It's called " Oregon Chai " ....I got the " decaf " , " vanilla " and " spiced " varieties. Each box comes with 8 individual packets.....add 1 to some hot water or add ice...for hot or cold chai! It's black tea, honey, vanilla, milk etc. in a packet (decaf box). I had my first one today....good stuff maynard! This will be great for Tejas luke warm winter! Muahaha, I'm a tea person....sort of. " wishing i lived near a whole foods, susie " Too bad I can't send ya the store instead.
