Guest guest
;=) Getting lotsa chuckles myself outta this whole trainwreck. Btw, I haven't seen Veat around here either, and I guess I wouldn't upset myself over not having it. But if it doesn't taste too much like chicken I might like to give it a go - remembering now that long ago it was chicken that was the last me*t to be banished from my diet. I can experiment, of course, and risk spoiling the food, but can anyone tell me offhand whether or not products such as soy hotdogs, sausages, and so-called luncheon/deli meatz freeze well? My husband dislikes them and generally so do I, but I do recall trying some Yves sausages that didn't actually *taste* like me*t but reminded me vaguely of childhood sausages. Remember: I was brought up in wartime England, so this is not necessarily an endorsement of the product, only a comment on the strangemess (okay, 'strangemess' is a typo, but it is appropriate. Dr Freud, rip.) of comfort foods and nostalgia for what was, after all, not a great childhood ;=) Soooooo, back from lateral thinking, I was wondering if I could safely freeze the little non-sausage creeps (and therefore gobble one now and then as my own personal vice). I hate wasting food :=( Best, Pat > > Roflmao! Guest guest
I have a big bag of Yves pepperoni in the freezer. We take out a few slices every now and then, and it seems fine.
