To Hell With McDonalds

I ate some of these years back when they introduced them for a time in

Ohio, and we found out later that they'd substitute regular beef patties

when they ran out of the few veggie patties each outlet was allotted, and

not tell the customer.

This and many other deceptive, lying policies is why I refuse to patronize

McDonald's in any form whatsoever no matter what their promises and

assurances may be.

And if I want a tasty burger I can go home, mix ketchup, mustard, and

pickle relish into mayonnaise, slice an onion, a tomato, and rip up some

lettuce, and toast a bun, (better yet a bagel), wave some MSF fake Bacon

strips, wave a MSF Griller, and even add a slice of soy or rice cheese if

I wish, and have a far better burger than any fast food joint could offer

me.

Yes...exactly why I recommended a homemade version. MSF grillers and

morning strips are excellent. I'd rather place both in a pan in a few

dots of evoo and a bit of garlic and take the extra time and lil

effort to toast those suckers....tastes MUCH better, imo. Also, any

lil extra activity helps with those strips....it aint low in fat!

How did you find this out? That is sick and wrong and in my

opinion, deserving of another lawsuit. I won't patronize them

either. I did get stuck going in one one time on a business trip.

We were all looking for breakfast and it was seemingly the only

option to my coworkers. I wouldn't buy anything though. I waited

and got something elsewhere.

Well, if you're ever stuck there again, do stay away from their veggie

patties, hot coffee and beefy fries......unless you want to earn a share

from the deserving lawsuit of course. ;) I'd be willing to bet there are

thousands of horror stories at such places. I can't wait to read ffn.

Haven't former employees put out published literature on such

practices.....maybe ffn gets some of its info from them.

Oh, too right!!! ;=) I totally agree. My only hesitation would be this:

I think of 'fast food' as something I get when I woould otherwise have

to *fast* (hah! ;=)) - that is to say when I have not just come from

home or am not just returning home - when I am out and about and need to

refuel for lunch or dinner, perhaps on holiday, and don't have time for

a sit-down restaurant meal. If we can't trust these devils to give us

something edible in their veggie burgers, that's a sad comment. But of

course MickeyD is pretty saaad.
