Hi Pernille,

Splenda (brand name for Sucralose) is a sweetening product which is

made by changing the molecular structure of sugar. If you're not

familiar with it, I'd do some reading about it before choosing to use

it. Here's a web site with some info:

http://www.mercola.com/2004/jan/10/splenda_questions.htm

There are other sites out there as well with information, if you do a

search on the safety of it. I'm not a fan of artificial sweeteners;

whether or not to use them is an individual decision, but I do think

it's good for folks to have information.

I was curious about the Kitchen Bouquet & Liquid Smoke too. I went

into our cupboard & found an old bottle of Kitchen Bouquet...we got

it sometime in the 80's, and it's been sitting there taking up space

all this time. Here's the ingredients list from the bottle I have

here: caramel, water, dried vegetables (carrots, onions, celery,

parsnips and turnips), salt, dried parsley, spices and sulfiting

agents.

Sorry I don't have any old liquid smoke floating around here, so

can't share ingredients in that.

I believe that I have seen liquid smoke at the regular grocery store

and at the health food store. It's a pretty common ingredient, so I

would not think you'd have any problem finding it. I would call

your local store and ask them.

Actually, that sounds very similar to Mrs. Dash. I'll betcha it

would substitute nicely if you couldn't find Kitchen Bouquet at the

store.

yeah, just look in the condiments section next to barbecue sauce, mustard,

ketchup marinades & the like. you'll usually find it in that area. I get it

all the time for hickory flavoring in my dishes & fake smoked cheeses.
