Guest guest
Every moment is a new begining, right? Don't beat yourself up over it. Many paths to vegetarianism have twists and turns. It is the process and what you learn from it that is most important. namaste ~ PT ~ That I might search all books and from their chart, Find my soul's calm! ~ St. Columba's " Song of Exile " ~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~~~~~> , TheRainbowBandit@a... wrote: > umm guys I kinda had steak for dinner..... so umm.... im a traitor =( > > Jordan
Guest guest
the worst thing you could do now is decide because of this lapse that you can no longer be a vegetarian, that you lack the willpower, or whatever. Over time eating more veggie burgers and going longer and longer without the rotting flesh, you should lose the craving for it. everyone makes mistakes at first when going vegetarian or vegan. especially because of the hidden ingredients like mc d's beefy fries and for vegans, the hidden dairy in almost any type of food. > > umm guys I kinda had steak for dinner..... so umm.... im a > traitor =( > > > > Jordan

Guest guest
I never had a craving for meat, but I do occasionally crave, of all things, a BIG GREASY CHEESEBURGER. I crave the specific taste of cheeseburger. I want melted greasy cheese. Sometimes I also crave the bloody taste that accompanies rare meat. This is pretty recent. I haven't eaten any sort of beef in fifteen years, and last year I suddently found myself thinking " Mmmm...rare. " What I was craving was the taste of blood. I don't actually remember what meat tastes like. However, what I learned a long time ago was to find out what food cravings mean and then satisfy the underlying need. If I am craving a cheeseburger, then I need some protein and some fat in my diet. So, I go eat a boca burger with a big fat slice of sharp cheddar. If I am craving rare-blood taste, then what I really need is some iron-rich foods like spinach. Spinach-garlic pizza, here I come. Most food cravings, outside of eating disorders, are not about the specific food, they are about a nutritional need that your mind associates with a certain food. When you learn about nutrition, you learn how to satisfy the cravings if you get them. dave <dave4sale wrote: Over time eating more veggie burgers and going longer and longer without the rotting flesh, you should lose the craving for it.
