hi again I just have a few questions here. does anyone remember

carob. there used to be candy bars made out of carob and everyone

went for them. anything like that still around? also has anyone here

tried loma linda products, they were like the first vegi stuff

around.I seed it is available to order online. now all of it is

lacto/ovo so only some of us would use it anyway. and now my big

question, before there were boca burgers, tvp, and seitan there

was...nut loaf. is there any recipes for it or does any company still

make it? I do understand it was very fattening but I would like to

try it at least once.

Hey Dave,

My local health food/vegetarian store has carob covered raisins and

candy. I like the carob covered raisins, but I've never tried any of

the candy.

Loma Linda products are readily available in my area (SE USA) and in

abundance at Publix grocery stores. Their Leannies (hot dogs) are the

best on the market and so are their 'turkey' slices. My bf likes

their Prime Stakes with gravy that come in a can, but I find it to be

repulsive. I think their frozen stakelets are just ok. I think the

prime stakes in a can are vegan and the other products I mentioned

are lacto-ovo. Loma Linda also has a Nut Loaf, although I've yet to

try this. Their stuff is a little pricy.

karen :)
