I'd have worn orange, but that doesn't work either. Black and blue seems

to have been our dominant set of colors today.

Nice to see peer pressure escalated to violent bullying. What WILL that

school think of next?

Yes -- I had left-over salad and cheese noodles, others added left-over

stew to this mix.

I may have seen it canned once, can't recall for sure.

Probably just as well, really, if you think about corned beef, let alone

faking it.

Too late for that. My father's birth and death anniversaries hit in the

last couple days and my mother's is coming up at the end of the month.

This last one: Pay strict attention, you.

I see you were taking the frugal Scottish approach

to your meal, eating those leftovers. Bravo.

Yeah, I believe Worthington makes a veggie version

of corned beef that comes in a can, but I haven't seen

it around here. Don't you find vegetarian corned beef

in the deli at WildOats? Either one doesn't really

sound appealing to me, not being a fan of the corned

beef to begin with, but it must be a nice way for those

who miss the flavor of it to get some satisfaction by

having a veggie Rueben sandwich now and then.

I empathize. I understand these types

of anniversaries can really bum a person out.

Hang in there. Love never dies.

*lol* I like to imagine my ancestors were more peaceful.

I know they likely weren't... ;)

I knew I spelled that wrong. *lol*

Cheers anyway.

*rofl* It can be a little weird at times, huh?

Oh well... what are you fixing for dinner tonight?

I am working on a peanut soup to serve with grilled

cheese sandwiches. If the soup is to my liking I will

post the recipe to the list tomorrow.

Hope you have a nice rest of the afternoon... *s*

The mist called to me when I was child. In the early

mornings, and sometimes at dusk, I would look out the

window into the thick woods behind our Georgia home,

and a deep longing would fill my soul. The Cymru,

the Celts of Wales, would say I had been consumed by

the spirit of hiraeth, the longing for something my soul

had known once upon a time.

i think i shall...make a sandwhich! haha, i get back

home around 730, and i dont feel like cooking

tonight...just want to sleep, ya know? but i have a

great sandwhich recipie if anyone is interested! you

use whatever type of bread you want, i personally like

multi-grain, and you put refried beans, shredded

carrots, lettuce and i usually use a onion dijon

dressing, because i hate any type of mayonaise,

whether it be soy or regular...but yeah, its a great

tasting sandwhich and it has some protien...also try

toasting the bread so it doesnt get all soggy...i love

it!
