Guest guest
my husband bought a big bag of coffee beans because they were on sale and they make the worst, undrinkable coffee imaginable. i'd hate to throw away all that coffee. does anyone have any ideas for alternative uses for coffee beans or ground coffee?? i've been using some of it in my garden and garden containers, but was wondering if anyone had other ideas. tia, susie Photos: High-quality 4x6 digital prints for 25¢ ph/print_splash
Guest guest
I don't know if you're a photographer, but beans make a great background for small items. You can lay out a bunch of coffee beans and photograph flowers, or whatever and then hang them decoratively...if you have kids, they can be arts and craft beans. You can also put the beans in vases for fake flowers they can hold them in place. www.manifestconcierge.com gives great ideas for anything. , " artichoke72x " <artichoke72x> wrote: > my husband bought a big bag of coffee beans because > they were on sale and they make the worst, undrinkable > coffee imaginable. i'd hate to throw away all that > coffee. does anyone have any ideas for alternative > uses for coffee beans or ground coffee?? i've been > using some of it in my garden and garden containers, > but was wondering if anyone had other ideas. > > tia, > susie > > > > > > > Photos: High-quality 4x6 digital prints for 25¢ > ph/print_splash
Guest guest
Even if it doesn't taste good to drink, you might try making some coffee and using it to make tiramisu or other desserts in which coffee is an ingredient. Guest guest
Well, I am a candlemaker and I have seen folks use whole beans on the outside of a poured pillar of coffee, vanilla, or hazelnut scented wax candle. They look so pretty with a layer of coffee beans on the outside bottom half of the pillar candle. I believe the way I would do this would be to pour the candle pillar, unmold it and then warm the outside to soften the wax again and roll the pillar in the whole beans, then dip the candle in a thin layer of clear wax to set and keep the beans from falling off. Candlemaking is a messy craft, so I wouldn't blame you if you chose some other way to rid of those undrinkable beans. Guest guest
thank you for the ideas! my son has been playing with some of the coffee beans all day. he's been gluing them on paper (and the table) and has made quite a mess. but, making messes makes him happy and i'm happy when he's happy. lol. also, thanks for the link...i'll be sure to check it out. susie --- butterflybliss777 <butterflybliss777 wrote: > I don't know if you're a photographer, but beans > make a great > background for small items.
