Hi! Just wanted to introduce myself and thank whoever it was that

sent the invite to me! LOL

I'm lacto-ovo, who avoids the lacto-ovo whenever possible. Also avoid

processed foods and processed sugar. Don't like to eat eggs

themselves but can cope with them as a binder. LOL! I'm in Portland,

Oregon, which fortunately is very Veggie-friendly!

Look forward to meeting you all! :)

Hi Sara,

Am fairly new here too but am glad you are taking time to be with

likeminded people. I am from Eugene so know what ya mean about the

area being veggie friendly [makes it easier for me to avoid dairy,

eggs, etc]. I started practicing veggie/vegan style in '85 and has

only done great things for my bod and mind [besides making me feel

more empowered as an individual]. Besides reading labels and eating

well, walking, stretching, and having good laffs, help too. I hope to

have a long, healthy life.

I just arrived in Bozeman for the tourist season and hope to get in

some nice nature walks over the next 4 months.

I plan to get another collage series going while here as I will have

time in the evenings. I may not be able to post much as time's

limited online but will try to keep up with emails at least [co-

moderate WorldVegs too].

If anyone wants to check out my work, follow the links on my

profile...

Cheers, David*

Hi David,

Thanks for the welcome. Looks like we have a lot of the same

interests. :)

Becoming veggie has totally transformed my life, spiritually and

physically. I know what you mean about empowerment... It's totally a

lifestyle... Next time you come to PDX make sure to check out

FoodFight on 41st and Division, its an all Vegan store and they have

cool t-shirts (My favorite is HAIL SEITAN!) and carry Herbivore

magazine, which I HIGHLY recommend.

Bozeman is swell...beautiful country. I grew up in Idaho, really like

Oregon and the people here.

I like your work. :)

Hehe... have seen the HAIL SEITAN shirt... now I know where to get

mine:]. The Japanese docs that came to the US to promote macrobiotic

[whole life] phylosophy and lifestyles [1951] were right on track in

my thinking. Reading East-West mag, Vegetarian Times after being moved

by Francis Lapette's book " Diet For A Small Planet " were beneficial as

I was living in VA and didn't know vegetarians. We are fortunate to be

able to have support via net these days. Cheers, David*
