Guest guest
Appologies if I just sent an empty email... sigh. I'm been vegetarian for a number of years now. Not really by choice. My body doesn't digest meats anymore. (I can still do fish.) I also don't eat dairy because I'm allergic to that too... (sneezing, and runny nose anyone?) I'm always on the lookout for good veggie recipies, espically without cheese. I still do eggs, so they don't always have to be vegan. As for margarine, I don't know about in the states, but there is actually still dairy products in most margarine. If you look on the label, they have whey powder... This is a milk product, and makes me just as sick. There is only one brand of marg. here in Montreal that doesn't. I'd rather not eat any of them. If you really want a spread for your bagel, try putting olive oil in the fridge. It will solidify, and can be spread onto toast, or whatever. In Italy, they dip bread in olive oil commonly... Hope to hear more good stuff! Thanks for having me... Blue
Guest guest
I'm in basically the same situation, except my body doesn't digest eggs either. If I eat any dairy, meat, or eggs I come down with a huge list of symptoms ranging from stomach problems to skin problems to extreme fatigue. I grew up with quite a few health problems, and only in recent years found out that they were related to the foods I was eating. Incidentally, what does your doctor think about all this? Mine is very supportive, and in fact is the one who first suggested I might be suffering from food intolerances. I gave up eating meat because it directly made me rather sick. My doctor I have now, hasn't said much about it, because I haven't made a big deal of it. I don't really care much about not eating beef and pork, and such, anymore. I can still safely eat chicken once in a very long while, but rarely do. Not much interested in it... hugs Blue
Guest guest
I also have food intolerances, but this is now anything from an animal. I recently had a bout with my old margarine, and found out it had casen in it, which is a milk dirrivtive. For weeks I couldn't figure out what was upseting my stomach. Now I find out it was that. My body always tells me about those things...wierd. The first thing I had to cut out was Bacon and pork...at 10. It's all cut out now at 23. I guess I was meant to be a vegan and I love every minute of it (except the occasional urge for a pint of Ben and Jerry's, but I deal.) Good to know I am not the only freak who physically can't handle meat. I was starting to feel lonely ~Melissa --- Blue elf <joyceka wrote: > , " M. > Caldwell " > <megan_caldwell@c...> wrote: > Incidentally, what > > does your doctor think about all this?
