My distrust of Mercola stems from his association with Young Living, an MLM aromatherapy organization headed by a blatant fraud that happily bilks its members. After hearing about that, I did a little more reading about him, and it appears that his primary goal is to sell his supplements, etc, not provide factual information. I have no problem with people making a living, but doing it based on lies doesn't sit well with me and puts anything he says in the " take it with a grain of salt " category. -- Sherri " Moral indignation is jealousy with a halo " - HG Wells --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. The man that runs it is ignorant, mean, and nasty. He is extremely biased against ANY form of alternative medicine, however well it may work and however long it may have been around. He obviously has an agenda of some sort and a definite problem with holistic healing. Virgil
Guest guest
Well, Virgil, most doctors *are* against holistic healing/alternative medicine - anything not taught in med school. It's the nature of the beast ;=) Just as a casual example - just a wee one - ever had a doc ask you how you get a certain vitamin or mineral in your diet (whether or not you are veggie)? If you look politely bewildered, they recommend a 'good' over-the-counter supplement; if you tell them you're taking a good over-the-counter supplement they hmmm and hawwww and say you should look to your diet; if you say you manage it all with diet, they suggest a 'good' over-the-counter supplement. *lol* So if simple nutrition and vitamins etc. is a challenge to their egos, think what alternative medicine does! Poor souls. Have a heart!!!! ;=))))) Best, Pat in Montreal >Well, I take whatever is on Quackwatch with a grain of salt. >The man that runs it is ignorant, mean, and nasty.
