Guest guest
Hello everyone; I have a stupid question to ask. Buttttttttttttttttt, won't know the answer to it if I don't ask right ? Here is the question.... SInce I am still learning about all of these things that out there like for example Seitan , Tempeh etc....... I was wanting to know , if, Seitan is what they use in those products out there who make like those meatless meat thingies. Like for example, Yves Cuisines pepperoni thingies and those garden burgers that are out on the market . I bought a box of Seitan Quick Mix, I think is what it's called, and I haven't done anything with it yet. I know that I read that Seitan is what is called " wheat meat " . Hope everyone's summer is going well. Your help is much appreciated. Thank You !!! hugsssssss GOD BLESS !!!

But yes maybe those have it, I am not sure. I don't use that certain product. > M B <allthegoodnamesaretaken62 > 2004/07/22 Thu PM 03:56:42 EDT > > Re: Digest Number 914 > >
Guest guest
If you do a search, you can find a recipe for Seitan in the fiules and in the archives. I make my own all the time. Most meat subsitutes on the market these days have some wheat gluten (seitan) in them. Most are a combination of wheat gluten, soy protein, etc. There is generally more soy in these things than there is wheat gluten.
