Guest guest
Try some of the meat substitutes out there. You can use them in place of meat in your favorite recipes. Here are some of the Meat Substitutes Brands available. Guest guest
What are everybody's favorite products, from different companies? I like almost everything from Amy's Kitchen, www.amyskitchen.com (all products are vegetarian, lots are vegan). HyVee's Health Market section and Whole Foods have good selections of Amy's products. Of the individual frozen meals, I like Amy's tamales, veggie loaf, and cheese enchilada. Amy's spinach pizza is great, and the burgers are pretty good. My aunt and I both can't get enough of Quorn's naked chikn tenders, we use them in the recipes we grew up on. I'll have to try Worthington's veg corned beef, I love reuben sandwiches and usually use fake turkey lunchmeat -- which is pretty darned good, too! I LOVE Worthington's canned hot dogs -- several people on this list told me they were the best, and you were right! Which fake ham is best? I used to like sliced ham with mustard and brown sugar sauce. Audrey On Sun, Oct 5, 2008 at 10:12 AM, wwjd <jtwigg wrote: > Try some of the meat substitutes out there. Guest guest
We love the Amy's Kitchen Pizza's. They are delicious!! Also their Indian Spinach Paneer frozen dinner. We LOVE the Worthington Wham, which is a substitute for " ham " . I buy the large frozen rolls of these, thaw it and slice them thick and then toast them in my toaster before I put them on a sandwich. LOL I really do just drop them in the toaster, like a slice of bread. Once I slice up the big roll, I put 5 slices per zip loc bag and refreeze them until we need them. You can slice them up thin too if you prefer. They also come in packages where they are already sliced. You will love the Worthington Meatless " Corned Beef " is delicious in a Ruben Sandwich. I should post my recipe that uses Sauerkraut, onions, shelly beans and Big Franks in it. It is a favorite of mine. No one in my family like Sauerkraut, so I get to enjoy it all when I make it. - Audrey Snyder Sunday, October 05, 2008 10:50 AM Re: Meat Substitutes Available What are everybody's favorite products, from different companies? Guest guest
Ok -- I've got Wham and " corned beef " on my list! YES, please do post any recipe with sauerkraut -- and that goes for everybody!! (I've read that Bavarians put cream or sauerkraut on everything... I think I'd like southern Germany a lot) Audrey On Sun, Oct 5, 2008 at 11:11 AM, wwjd <jtwigg wrote: > We love the Amy's Kitchen Pizza's. They are delicious!!
